Discover Our Fascinating Selection of Red Wine. From classics and all-time favourites like Pinot Noir—also known as Spätburgunder in these parts—to characterful varieties like Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt, there’s plenty to explore. Or maybe you’re in the mood for something completely new and different? In that case, we highly recommend checking out our selection of lesser-known red grape varieties like Teroldego or Trollinger. Whatever you’re craving, one thing’s for sure—all our red wines come with plenty of Trinkfluss.
Outside of Burgundy and Oregon, Germany is actually the third-largest producer of Pinot Noir. And let me tell you, the quality is phenomenal—often at a fraction of the price compared to those more famous regions. But Germany is still too often overlooked when it comes to top-quality Pinot. So, now that you’re in on the secret, we suggest you stock up and enjoy these insanely good wines at their ridiculous prices while you can. Because once the secret’s out, we’ll all wish we had bought more!
Oh, and if Pinot Noir isn’t your thing or you’re after something a bit bolder, I suggest giving Blaufränkisch a go. It’s one of my absolute favourites! Some of the best examples come from Austria’s Burgenland or Germany’s Württemberg region, where it’s called Lemberger. I should also mention Hungary, where it goes by Kékfrankos. The finest bottles have that perfect balance of tannin, structure, acidity, and juicy fruit.
