2021 will go down as a vintage for iconic Kabinett wines. This style has experienced a renaissance in recent years, and long may it continue. In a vintage like 2021, you have that perfect balance and harmony of fruit, sweetness, and acidity. Fresh tropical and exotic fruits but also a strong citrus game. Lively, crunchy and fresh is the simplest way to summarize this liquid masterpiece. This wine will put a smile on the face of any Kabi (Kabinett) lover. Alte Reben means "Old Vines" in English or "Vieilles Vignes" in French. The exact time of planting is actually unknown, but they do look pretty old. The soil here is a mixture of grey and red slate on sunny spot within the vineyard, resulting in this slightly more tropical style.
